About Us

Eva Tang was born and raised in Hong Kong and grew up with the influence of high quality tea and appreciation for the delicate flavours those teas could produce. After coming to England, she quickly realized that although England was a nation of tea drinkers, that rich tradition was slowly dying at the hands of mass produced, low quality tea bags, and the rising popularity of coffee houses that emphasized amazing blends of coffee, but neglected to provide just as good of a cup of tea.

Seeing the need to bring back the tea culture, Eva trained with Tim Clifton and Jane Pettigrew, two of the most renowned Tea Masters in England today, and opened a small, welcoming tea room in Minnis Bay. Bringing together her love of tea and a passion for cooking, Eva has combined the stunning flavours of her tea with homemade, in house desserts that would be hard to find anywhere else. Amazing combinations that bring together the decadence of rich, delicious cakes and desserts, while still bringing a healthy aspect that will leave you feeling just a little less guilty.

We have all the equipment necessary to brew a cup of tea the Right way, with care and respect for each individual tea. Not only do we serve fine quality tea and dessert, but we provide a full lunch menu including Paninis and baguettes using meat and cheeses sliced fresh from our deli bar and salads that utilize our fresh, organic produce that is available for purchase right in the tea room.

Gathering together some of the best quality teas from all over world, homemade desserts, and locally grown, organic produce in such an unsuspecting location makes Eva's Tea Room a diamond in the rough, and a wonderful place to bring friends and family for a taste of something you can rarely find anywhere else.
